The Providence Montana Health Foundation

The Providence Montana Health Foundation has a specific focus: to provide resources for Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, including assisting with health care for patients, new equipment programs and services.

Since 1873, St. Patrick Hospital has improved the care of the people of Western Montana by combining compassionate patient service with accessible, world-class health care. The Providence Montana Health Foundation invests our passion and resources in the region by supporting advanced medical equipment, cutting-edge research, financial assistance for rural health facilities, help with individual medical bills, and preventative practices as an essential component of superior medical care.

Donations to the foundation remain local. They directly impact seventeen counties, thousands of communities and countless individuals in Western Montana. By supporting the Providence Montana Health Foundation, you join in our commitment to enhance the quality of life through quality health care. Thank you for your generosity.

What Do Clinical Trials Mean to You?

St. Patrick Hospital is a regional leader in innovative, cutting-edge treatments and clinical research in cancer, neurology and cardiology. Clinical trials allow for evaluation of new treatments. Patients can obtain new research treatments before they are widely available. Some research studies offer treatments that have the potential to extend life or improve life quality for patients who have exhausted their options with existing treatments. Research patients are followed closely by specialists during all phases of a study. Clinical trials are vital to the understanding and use of new treatments that, if approved by the FDA, could potentially provide widespread benefit to patients.

For more information on clinical trials here at St. Patrick Hospital, contact Amy Hanneman at Amy.Hanneman@providence.org, or call (406) 329-0349.

Why is the Foundation so important?

18 percent of Montanans are uninsured and need health care. Even when someone does have health insurance, hospitals often receive less reimbursement than what it costs to provide the service. At the same time, the costs of labor, medications and technology are increasing. The Providence Montana Health Foundation raises money to offset these costs in several different ways, including:

  • Major gifts
  • Large or small one-time donations from individual donors
  • Special events, such as the annual golf tournament, Team Up Montana and Zootown Idol
  • Annual campaigns for specific health services
  • Capital campaigns for building upgrades and new technology
  • Planned giving

You decide where the money goes

Providence Montana Health Foundation will never use donations for administrative purposes. All funds stay in Montana to help patients and programs within our area. So you get to decide where 100% of your donation will go. Make a donation online or call us at (406) 329-5640.
